Email triage that keeps up with your hands. Connect your Gmail account, then clear the backlog in one keyboard loop: read, decide, next.

Why we're building it
Webmail is built to keep you reading, not to help you finish. Every destructive action asks you to confirm it, the list jumps back to the top after each decision, and bulk operations are buried behind menus. The result is that triage — a task that is mechanically simple — takes far longer than it should.
Inbox inverts that. The reading pane is the primary surface, the next message loads the instant you dispose of the current one, and mistakes are fixed with undo rather than prevented with dialogs. Our acceptance target is concrete: a 50-message inbox triaged to zero in under two minutes, keyboard only.
What it does
Delete → next
Disposing of a message advances the reading pane immediately. No confirmation, no scroll reset. An undo toast catches the mistakes.
Bulk actions
Row checkboxes, select-all, and an action bar for Delete, Archive, Mark read, and Apply label across the whole selection.
Filters
All, Unread, and Important views. Opening an unread message marks it read, so the Unread view drains as you work.

j/k to navigate, # or ⌫ to
delete, e to archive. The mouse is optional throughout.
Optimistic, then reconciled
The interface responds at once and syncs to Gmail in the background. If the server disagrees, the change is rolled back and you are told.
Narrow write access
Inbox can trash, archive, label, and mark messages read. It cannot send mail on your behalf. That is a design constraint, not a setting.
Access and permissions
Inbox signs you in with your Google account and requests the Gmail
gmail.modify permission. That scope is what allows the app to read your
messages and to trash, archive, label, and mark them read. It does not
allow sending mail, and the app never does.
- You can revoke access at any time from your Google account permissions page; the app loses all access immediately.
- Message content is fetched to display and triage your mail. It is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to train machine-learning models.
- Ask us to delete your account and stored data at any time and we will do it — see deleting your data.
